Chief Red Cloud # 27a

Chief Red Cloud was a Native American Chief of the Lakota tribe in Western Nebraska.  The artwork displayed here depicts the clothing of the Native American culture.  The spirit and determination of Chief Red Cloud to defend and protect a way of life and what he believed in was steadfast.  Defending and also trying to bring peace to a region during turmoil is what led him to be such a great leader.  The Native American clothing was made of leather, colorful beads, jewelry and feathers inspired by the environment they lived in.  this is similar to the bead patterns and jewelry on the clothing of Chief Red Cloud.

Hand painted design using acrylic for the front of the heart and the base. The leather will be hand-painted to match leather, and the beads will be hand-painted to match this pattern. Sculpting fringes, cords, bone necklace feather and medallion may be used to achieve a beautiful effect of jewelry. A hand-painted image of Red Cloud will be in the center of the medallion. The base will be painted in a pattern and resemble texture also. The image will be produced to match this artwork identically.
