Nebraska was labeled “The Beef State” back in the 1050’s. Nebraska continues to be a large contributor of beef to the food industry. Adams Land and Cattle is one of the largest cattle research and development facilities in the world. In recognition of their contribution to the beef industry, a beef of a different color is depicted on the surface of the heart. No matter the color, beef is an essential part of the American diet. A common phrase with the Nebraska cattlemen is: “Beef: It’s what’s for dinner”.
