55b) Owl (heart symbol) U 4 Ever-Marita Sanchez-Stapleton

The Barn Owl can be seen flying in the evenings around local Nebraska farms and local wilderness areas.  In some cultures, the owl is recognized as a good omen and symbolic of wisdom and a protecting eye in the night.  At the base of the sculpture are images of local barns taken by a Nebraska photographer; and text as a visual history.  The heart shape is comprised of two owls looking in opposite directions, back to back, with one wing open.
